Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 16/08/2017.  Today’s deck is again the *Tarot of the Holy Light* by C. Payne-Towler & M. Dowers. (See previous entries.) The draw today is: Sulfur = IV the Emperor; Mercury = IX the Hermit, and Salt = the Ace of Disks. Wow, the only difference (and it isn’t that great of a difference!) between today & yesterday is that I have moved from XIX the Sun to IV the Emperor. My Anima stays put in IX the Hermit, and our power source is STILL “putting out” for us, the Ace of Disks! I’m not shocked, I’m not even that surprised, to tell you the truth. I feel as if I am in exactly the same day! Grin. Well, not quite – have you EVER seen a more dramatic Emperor? I mean, Wow! This guy has got it “goin’ on!” He has got it SO “goin’ on” that at first you tend not to notice the lack of the Cubic Throne, Material Reality, but here it is amply represented in scenic form. In this form, he is indeed Jupiter,
striding between Binah and Geburah. He is “Bythos, King of Heaven,” (explicatory & eponymous book to the deck,) “the original Source of the Pleroma, archetype of all father gods, such as Zeus or Yahweh.” (p.334) I can hear you scratching your head, so here, never say that I gave you nothing, (Grin!); “Pleroma (Greek πλήρωμα) generally refers to the totality of divine powers. The word means fullness from πληρόω ("I fill") comparable to πλήρης which means "full", and is used in Christian theological contexts: both in Gnosticism generally, and by St. Paul the Apostle in Colossians 2:9 . . .. .” (Wikipedia.) (This shouldn’t be confused with “Pleuroma--a cancer-mimicking atelectatic pseudotumor of the lung.” Grin.) I’m just shooting the fecal matter here because I feel as if we all know what the Emperor is and is not; however, it is at that point that laziness can breed miscomprehension, so let’s stay on our talons and keep all seven eyes open & alert, eh? Grin. Moving along as one does, we come upon my Anima in the robes of IC the Hermit. This is not surprising to me at all; I even have a small frown at the corner of my lips – how long is she going to continue to “hide out?” It is becoming rather tiresome attending all of these events without my Anima at my side; I have no one with whom to gossip about everyone else. LOL.
Actually, I DO feel that I should give her all the time she needs “girding her inner forces” for this Journey specifically directed through the Cups. I can understand a bit of nerves on her part; she was born in the denial of feminine emotions in the first place, my mother being her model. Add to that my years of either ignoring her or using her as an “genderless” adjunct to my Animus, and you have a lady that was pretty pissed when she first was allowed to come up for Air. Thereafter, being encouraged to grow and Become, she is now my valuable Anima, although of course she still runs into her OWN issues from time to time. I know what she is doing here; she is rounding things up in her head, because she is ready to return to society, that being defined as meeting me back on the Red Road and us continuing together. This, therefore, makes perfect sense that we would STILL be “being powered” by the Ace of Disks, present yesterday as well. This is directed towards my physical reality, as well; I’ve seen this coming in the cards for some time now, a major change in my 3D reality due to some of my manifestations coming due. It should be exciting! That’s all I have for today; for FASCINATING reading about this deck, these archetypes and the Continental Tarot in toto, I can do no better than to recommend Ms. Payne-Towler’s two books that align with this deck: 1) “Tarot of the Holy Light” by C. Payne-Towler & M. Dowers, Noreah/Brownfield P., U.S.A., 2015; AND 2) “Foundations of the Esoteric Tradition; Tarot of the Holy Light Vol. Two”, Ibid, 2017.  The second volume in particular is a wonderful “course” in the antecedents of the Continental Tarot and its “refurbishment.” I ask the Cosmos to give us ALL a much-needed insight today into our spiritual “machinery.” Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 15/08/2017. Today’s day is the *Tarot of the Holy Light* by Christine Payne-Towler & Michael Dowers. You have heard me rave before about the deck, so not today. Onward and Upward! The draw for today is: Sulfur = XIX the Sun; Mercury = IX the Hermit, and Salt = the Ace of Disks. This is a pleasing hand, and I have NO beef with it today . . . more or less. I’m still not sure why my Anima keeps shuttling between places like II the High Priestess, XVIII the Moon, XIV Temperance and here,
IX the Hermit. It is a pretty closed loop she is traversing these days, as if she’s on an intense sabbatical studying how to create, nurture and keep secrets. LOL. Well, whatever . . . I really am not of an inclination to give too much of a shit about it today, to tell you the honest truth; I’m not into any of it right now, EXCEPT my Animus having a XIX
the Sun day. I’m tired, out of sorts, a bit cranky, and suffering from lack of sleep; approximately four hours total for the last 4 nights, i.e. barely an hour per night. I don’t know why, and it is a bit too excessive to ascribe to age. Well, no one ever died of lack of sleep; went insane, yes, but didn’t die. LOL. So, to save my sanity, I’m cutting it here today. Enjoy the pretty cards. I ask the Cosmos to give us ALL a helping hand today just to get through it. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 14/08/2017. The deck today, and for the next several days, is *The Tarot of the Holy Light* by Christine Payne-Towler and Michael Dowers. Not only is it right up there as one of my THREE favorite decks, but Christine’s new book just came out, “Foundations of the” Esoteric Tradition: Tarot of the Holy Light Vol. Two,” from Noreah/Brownfield Press, 2017. I have just started it, and it is an exciting read! Therefore, to “follow along,” so to speak, I’ll be using the deck for a day or four. Not that this volume of the book is about the cards per se; they are covered in Volume One. I could go on, but I leave it to your own interest to discover a “magical” (in terms of knowledge, it is astonishing) book, IMHO. (If you own the deck, you WILL want both volumes. They are an entire education.) The draw today is: Sulfur = III the Empress; Mercury = 0 the Fool, and Salt = the Page of Wands. (Please excuse the quality of his posted image; technical difficulties. I shall let the tech out of the Iron Maiden in an hour or so.) Without needing a “Dare,” I can say that I am honestly surprised, a little, by today’s draw. The orientation of Sulfur/Empress and Mercury/Fool is new to me; not so much my Anima posing as 0 the Fool, but the odd feeling(s?) I get when I contemplate the image of my Animus in III the Empress. Especially THIS Empress, the many-breasted Great Mother/Astarte/Sophia. “She is WAY out of my league,” as the saying goes. I’m not sure why I’m even trying to be here, because my usual position about her is simply mute adoration; I understand SO little about her Essence. This has to do not only with my being Male, but with having a wounded Anima for many years.
I have come late to a kind of better-than-many understanding of the Goddess; I take little initiative, preferring to let her notice me when she does, which surprisingly is often enough. She likes converts, I guess . . . Grin. As for moving on to rather shame-facedly look my Anima I the face in order to ask her, “What are you doing here AGAIN?”, I understand she is impatient to start, but she isn’t going to make it start any faster than it does. “Patience, my dear . . . remember XIV? She was here just last week, telling us this was coming up and to COOL OUR JETS. So, I suggest we do so.” At this point I don’t have much patience myself to “hang out with a Fool,” so I’m moving on to find that our engine today, the supplier of our Energy to get anything done is the Page of Wands. W-e-l-l . . . he’s got a lot of Energy, yessiree he does. “The Page of Wands has a passion for life, despite the fact (or maybe because of the fact) that he is still a child and his understanding of the world is not yet complete. He is a free spirit, not weighed down by the burdens of the material world, coming and going as he pleases, usually bringing change along for the ride. He is the catalyst that provokes changes that might be impossible in any other situation. When his energy enters your life it may manifest in one of three ways: as a person around you, as an event that you will experience, or as a part of yourself that you must bring to the fore. Only rarely is an external event signaled by the Page of Wands. He does act as a herald for the same activities as the other pages; the arrival of good news and the birth of children, for example. And in those cases he is a very good sign, particularly in the latter case because of his association with creation and conception. But the event he usually symbolizes is a different type of conception, the conception of an idea. The Page of Wands represents the
brief creative spark that comes to you, suddenly and unexpectedly, and that starts you down the road of a new creative vision. Your life will never be the same once he comes into it. Sometimes this spark will appear in your life as a person who embodies the physical or mental qualities of the Page of Wands. Such a person often has a vivid and childlike imagination, though they may neither realize it is there or know how to develop it for creative purposes. As such his ambitions are high but not unattainable; he will challenge himself but he will probably not overstep his limits unless pushed to do so. As a Wands card, ethics are always high on his list of priorities. He accepts change because he is the agent of change, the catalyst and the creative visionary. He is also a faithful lover with almost unlimited passion and enthusiasm. There is, of course, a Page of Wands lying within each of us waiting for a chance to manifest (if it is not doing so already!). When he does appear in your life it often comes at a time when you need his passion for life and his total fearlessness. His greatest power, in fact, is the power to deal with fears by facing them and seeing them for what they are. The light of his inner fire can expose the dark demons that you have been so afraid of, and show you that what you were running from was yourself all along. Once you see that your fears are nothing but parts of you, you can integrate them into yourself and grow stronger. Leave your fear behind and you'll be surprised how much freedom you'll win.” (©2007 James Rioux.) As I said, a LOT of Energy! Grin. I ask the Cosmos today to give us ALL a sense of proportion today in the Forces we use. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 13/08/2017. Today’s deck is *El Tarot Egipcio* de Margarita Arnal Moscardó. (The images posted are not from this deck; there are no “correctly conforming” images on the ‘Net [!] and my scanner is STILL on the fritz, so I have had to settle for “the closest things,” which are VERY close indeed. Thus, not too different, but yes, different.) My draw today is: Sulfur = II the High Priestess (La Sacerdotisa); Mercury = XXII the Fool (El Regreso,) and Salt = 23 The Laborer (El Labrador) (Ace of Coins . . . sort of, but don’t glue yourself there.) So, hmmm . . . it’s my turn in the Temple today receiving instruction from II the High Priestess.
Fine & Good; I’m sure she’s got a lot to teach, and I have a lot to learn, but I must say, the timing rather surprises me. Mind you, not that I am excessively busy with anything in particular other than a backed-up reading list of Permian Extinction Event proportions. It is, rather, that a long time has passed since my last visit, and “out of sight, out of mind.” However, looking at the rest of the spread to take in a quick “tableau,” I see that there IS an evident and obvious sense to my being in Her Secret Majesty’s Service closet (Grin.) I am “boning up” on information for what is apparently an impending Voyage. Well, yes, we’ve been getting hints for three days now, so it isn’t a surprise; here is confirmation, however, and that means it is time to get off my R&R butt and pack my duffle bag, the Path is calling. So, I’m in the Temple looking for necessary information, cheat sheets, magic ink for forearm writing, whatever I need to obtain and keep and edge on the forthcoming Journey, while at the same time remaining open to the Changes it will bring. (The
House always wins, but it doesn’t hurt to limit your “losses.” Grin.) As for my Anima, my! Isn’t she bright & bushytailed this morning, ready to depart and ignoring (perhaps not?) the alligator at her feet. I just today noticed something about most of these ‘Egyptian deck’ XXII the Fool(s) – they are wearing a leopard skin, which was only worn in Kemet (ancient Egypt) by the High Priests of the great cults, i.e. Amon-Re, Osiris, Horus, Isis, Ma’at, etc. (Do NOT get lost in Egyptian mythology and pantheons, or “enneads” and “ogdoads.” Remember that throughout Egyptian history, there has ALWAYS been only ONE God, Atum-Re [NOT Amon-Re, a later ‘blend’], from whom issued ALL of the others, as well as Creation. If you like, call it “hidden monotheism.” Grin.) Back to the point – the Fool is a high priest of one of the gods or goddesses. Well, hmmm!! That throws a different light on my upcoming Journey; I understand that to be indicative of the fact that this Journey is to be made Consciously, aware & awake in my energy body (the body of I the Magus.) I am also being made aware that to start the Journey I am being given the resource of the “Ace of Coins” (as I said, don’t marry that idea;) I am given energy as my Energy for today, which is a Great News for me, as I have been feeling the creeping approach of better health for about two weeks. And starting this Journey seems to require an expenditure of Energy; well, so be it, at least my need isn’t being ignored (Thank You, Atum-Re!) I shall keep it short and not plug in extra information today; let’s just take the reading “as is” and be content; I am. Grin. I ask the Cosmos to meet at least the Needs of us ALL today. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 12/08/2017. Today’s deck is the *Egipcios Kier Tarot* by Iglesias Janeiro, a Latin American mystic of the early 20th century. This is, IMHO, one of the BEST decks ever, and certainly the best among the lots of current Egyptian decks (NOT Egyptian-themed, remember.) Speaking of which, I have taken the 20 cards from the deck that “would or could” correspond to the placement of the Court cards in a TdeM or RWS deck; I’m not sure how that’s going to “schwing, schwing, schwing,” but “on verra.” Today’s draw is: Sulfur = XVII the Star; Mercury = IX the Hermit, and Salt = 63 Communion (which holds the place in the deck of the Queen of Cups; – REMEMBER, this is NOT a strictly correct card-to-card correspondence. I’m playing a little fast & loose with the cards today, Grin.) Well, I LIKE the draw, first things first. My Animus in XVII the Star is a GREAT sign; he doesn’t usually hang out in such a “feminine” sign, but today he is enjoying it (I know I am! Grin.) Things are looking up on all horizons for little Mr. Animus, and he’s feeling good about Life, if not so much about his health. But then, you can do too much (except for his health,” and I don’t WANT to be that kind of an old fucking geezer, so Fuck That! and feel good about the day anyway. LOL. My Anima is still hanging out in IX the Hermit, and I am content to let her do so to her heart’s content. Go, be silent and acquire wisdom! Grin! LOL, Our engine for today is that Love Machine, the Queen of Hearts, who is more than just that; she is also emotional and intuitive, and therefore something of a witch. So it pays to pay attention around her, because she can cause tricky things to appear and disappear if your Will isn’t under firm direction, and easily swayed by Desire. So there we have it. Info on the cards to follow, as I am keeping my contribution short today. I ask the Cosmos to give us ALL an opportunity to experience TRUE Communion today. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!
XVII the Star - “The figure expresses eternal youth and beauty.” No astrologer will hesitate to recognize Venus. “The Star is the étoile flamboyante, which appears in Masonic symbolism, but has been confused herein.” (W.) And “gifts of the spirit,” which au fond [at bottom] means beauty, are the gifts administered by Venus, who in the solar system hands over the vibrations or ‘gifts’ coming from the Sun, to our Earth. The picture on the card shows it quite clearly: a naked girl, demonstrating undoubtedly the beauty of the human body, symbol of beauty in the nature of man, pouring “the fluids of Life upon the Earth (and the sea: i.e. into soul and body — Th.) from two cups, the one of gold and the other of silver.” (P.) “The genius of the Sun has now descended to Earth under the form of this young girl, the image of eternal Youth.” (P.) Well, then it is the image of this planet of beauty and eternal youth, which has its place between the Sun and Mercury on one side and our Earth on the other, the third personification of the genius of the Sun. The ibis and the butterfly connect the idea ‘of immortality with this figure, in perfect accord with the mystic teaching which says, that love extends beyond the grave.” (A. E. Thierens.)                                             IX the Hermit – “P.: “Humanity fulfilling the function of God the Holy Spirit. The human creative force.” Indeed this is clearly Sagittarius for every astrologer. The author might have mentioned in the same line that the Hierophant (Leo) represents God the Son. The Hebrew letter Thet represents a roof and suggests the idea of safety and protection… protection ensured by wisdom.” The astrologer says: the Ninth house is the house of the Master — idea of wisdom and protection in one; the Master in fact shields his disciples like a roof… in some way.” (Ibid.) #63 Communion – (reading as the Queen of Cups) –
“The personification of the soul on the house of Capricorn, the Tenth, manifesting into the world that which it carries. As such this queen is to us the image of the married woman and the mother and of all that which woman can give to man and mankind, by her virtue both of soul and body. So the card must also mean the realization of hopes and wishes, consequently success, etc. The ‘wisdom’ is here more of the practical blend, usefulness, knowing how to act with care and prudence. The card may represent a woman, or an impersonal power or authority, which the Querent has to obey, or to whom it will be to his advantage to submit. It expresses a tendency to go out into the world and make a name and position for oneself, and indicates the right moment to do so. It is fairly certain that it will ensure some publicity, renown, fame, or even glory or theatrical success, but of ‘scandal’ we see no indication whatever in the card itself, though of course ‘publicity’ connected with very evil influences might end in something like that. In such cases, however, we must not ascribe the effect to the card, which means publicity, but to that of the evil influences. It is a mistake, which we very often meet in the traditional interpretations, to ascribe effects, resulting from certain combinations of influences to one card which is only one of the composing causes.” (Ibid.)

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 11/08/2017. The deck today is *Crow’s Magick* by Londa Marks. I don’t know a great deal about Ms. Marks, in fact nothing, but I do like her deck, and recommend it to those who like a bit more of the arcane than usual in their cards; I’m very taken with some of her imagic interpretations. Don’t kidnap your neighbor’s child in order to buy one ($399.00 on Amazon! OoP, of course,) but if you see one at an affordable price, grab it quick. Today’s draw is: Sulfur = VIII Justice; Mercury = XVIFI the Star, and Salt = the King of Swords. I’m not going to go anywhere with this draw today; I have talked until my venom glands are dry about these cards and even this configuration too many times to count; Male Balance meets Celestial Hope and the two fuel up on the intellectual Energy available from the King of Swords in order to harmonize their vibes, which are not necessarily easy bedmates. Justice often dashes Hope, just as often as it sometimes, much less often, fulfills it. Our concept of Justice is flawed by the inherent fact that we are observing & “practicing” it while we have only VERY LIMITED vision, indeed. On top of which, as Hope often flies in the face of “redress,” or “karma,” these two do not often see eye to eye. However, something today demands both of their presences and it looks as if that, too, will be provided by His Majesty, who without doubt will come down on the side of the “right thing to do,” as
defined by him, which will be closer to VIII than to XVII. Such is the fate of delicate, ethereal things in the paws of human beings. Grin. So, what I have decided to do instead is post short  interpretations of each card from different sources. A. E. Thierens is one of my favorite sources for the ‘spare style’ of truth in Tarot, uncluttered with romantic and/or too-far-reaching imagery and concepts. I imagine Mr. Thierens was a rather punctilious and humorless man, perhaps balding with spectacles and a betraying fondness for tweed; LOLOL. But in terms of the Tarot, he was a genius of the non-emotional (note: Not UNemotional.) I ask the Cosmos to grant us all an uncluttered view today. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!     VIII – Justice -                                                         ‘Adjustment’ (A. Crowley’s term) demonstrates balance and harmony. Legal matters and serious relationships (marriage or business partnership) are also signified. People often look to fairness in their life. They try to be considerate to others, but fairness in a strange word. If I win a court case, my immediate reaction is that it is a fair judgement, while the other side will of course see the outcome as unfair! In the Book of Thoth, Crowley sees this card in a more dynamic scenario. Balance is a continuous process as we continually course correct, and maintain direction. In this more ecological world, it can be seen as a judgement on our ability to balance the inner with the outer, or our needs with the needs of Earth.” (A. Crowley, “The Book of Thoth”)                 XVII the Star -        “‘Pour water on thyself thus shalt thou be a Fountain to the Universe.                                                                               Find thou thyself in every Star.     Achieve thou every possibility.’         Hope, unexpected help, clearness of vision, realization of possibilities, spiritual insight, with bad aspects, error of judgement, dreaminess, disappointment. The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realized.” (Ibid.)
King of Swords –       “The King of the suit of Earth, coming on the house of Aries, First house or ascendant. Whatsoever we may say of the ‘reversed’ side or weaker cases of this card, a king is a king and always denotes a higher accord, someone or something of principal value and rank. The king of the Martian and Saturnian element naturally is the king of matter and of war, i.e. also he who wins war and conducts the battle of earthy interests. It denotes the dominion and rulership of this element, consequently the military chief. This by the way we are astonished not to find mentioned by tradition, which mentions the man of the law, lawyer, advocate or judge, who rules or guides worldly strife and contention. As the ruler of the ascendant, the card may certainly mean any person heading a cycle of material activity and before all a pioneer on this plane, an independent man living on his own means. While material integrity is implicit, duplicity, doubt, double-dealing or uncertainty are definitely excluded. It indicates material certainty and severity, whether benefic or malefic from a personal point of view, healthy or rude, even cruel. But we fail to see what it has to do with perversity, unless the meaning be the overruling of everything else, the higher by the material power, and the misuse of the latter. The card means an emphatic Yes.” (A. E. Thierens, “The General Book of the Tarot”.)

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 10/08/2017.  The deck used today is *The Ibis Tarot* by Josef Machynka; this is right up there with the Kier Tarot (this is a very close 2nd) as one of my very favorite Egyptian decks, and an extremely intuitive read. I find this deck to be “almost” always right on the ‘mark,’ with its only drawback being at times a touch of vagueness about suggested paths. However, if you are a smart Oreo, you can figure that out from the given cards; we can’t always have it spelled it out. Grin. Onward and Upward! Today’s draw is: Sulfur = XX Resurrection From Death; Mercury = IX the Veiled Lamp, and Salt = XXXVIII the Mistress of Cups (Queen.) (The deck is numbered 1 – 78 [The Fool is XXII], as an Egyptian deck, but it has Court cards like an Egyptian-styled deck. Do you remember the difference from a previous blog entry?) The point being that this deck actually works better for this spread than a strict Egyptian deck. Looking first at Sulfur, and my Animus, I see he has a point to make with XX Resurrection today. The goddess he card is actually Nut, resurrecting the souls of those who did not complete their spiritual journey “in the allotted time.” She sends them back to the world of Spirit, and thus their Journeys are completed, but only at the end of Time. This is a very strict interpretation of an Egyptian initiatory idea, that the spiritual duties we have here on Earth MUST be completed before we die; there is no return to finish them up, no reincarnation. Whether I believe that or not is irrelevant: the card is speaking to my Active, Intellectual, male side, my Animus, and I think the card today is a reminder: “Get it done, Mark.” This is an idea I have had for a v-e-r-y long time, almost my entire life: that “whatever” I have to do, I have to get it done in this lifetime, because for some unknown reason, I’m not coming back, of that I am sure. (Whether that is not coming back “again” is moot.)

Which is fine with me, believe me, and more so as I get older; the more I see of this world, the less tasty a temptation it could ever be. (There is a wry but obvious point in there about Satan’s offer to Jesus of the whole world, if only he will bow to the Devil. Seems like JC had it right; there is no gravity, the world sucks.) At any event, it is a timely reminder not to malinger in the corridors of my life, and to get on with it. Scurrying on, I find that my Anima today has “withdrawn from society today for a period of contemplation and reflection.” Umm hmm. She’s been so busy hobnobbing with the celebrities lately that I’m surprised she wasn’t carried to the cave implied by the card. Grin. “Yes, Drama Queens ARE real, Virginia.” I’m just as happy to have her withdraw a bit; she HAS been very busy of late, and some “down time” will be most welcome and appreciated. We all need time to process, n’est-ce pas ? She has been SUCH a busy woman these last five years, learning a lifetime’s worth of responses and playing catchup in a relatively short time. I know she is responsible for some marked changes in my life the past five years; for one, she changed my color values. She’s also brought a lot of “feminine understanding” to the mix, so I’m a LOT easier not only with others but just as importantly with myself. (Even though I am a fucking WONDERFUL chef, there is a lot to be said for having a lady around the house. Grin. And yes, I’ve become a bit lazy as she likes to cook as well; fresh, traditional French regional cuisine. Marketing EVERY day is less about the shopping, which she loves doing, and a LOT more about the “networking.” “Les marchands” know everything first, and she gets it hot off grill, so to speak. And I get great meals every day. Yeah, life is rough. “Kids! You, too, can live like this if you live long enough to profit from your mistakes! Now look under your seats! That’s right! Oprah is giving you all Tarot decks!!” Grin.) Finally, who and/or what is going to power the vastly chic but wildly gas-guzzling ’74 cherry-red Cadillac Deville on its drive through town today? (The last car I owned when I lived in Texas, during one of the more insane periods of my life. LOL.) Today; the 3rd card is someone absolutely
LOVELY, who, as a matter of actual fact, was the honoree of that vehicle (say it like a Texan, “vee-HIK-el) by way of a pair of red lace inset platform come-fuck-me pumps with red Plexiglas soles and heels, permanently glued to the rear speaker ledge/deck. “Her name?” you ask? Peggy Sue. Well, whether we are speaking of the Mistress of Cups, the Queen, or Peggy Sue and her bouncy little “grab me by the ponytail and do those things to me,” we are dealing with an extraordinary woman. I LIKE the Queen of Cups – she is someone I had seen in certain relatives occasionally during my time in “Family,” and although I thought that I was not interested in her or her “avatars” in an way, shape or form for a long time in my life, I managed to keep my Anima suppressed as well. The Great Change came, of course, when I moved to France in 2003 and met my wife. Nothing could have prepared me for how MUCH my life would change, for the better, and also allowing me the time, place & opportunity to finally explore the terrain I WISHED to explore, myself, and through the Tarot. See the Goddess here in her avatar is a wonderful sign to me that things are “on track,” so to speak. I am tailoring this Journey, this time, as a heavily specific Path through Cups, emotions and Intuition (and all the rest.) To see the risen dead, and the Hermit, facing right, and the source of today’s Power facing them, lifting THE Cup as if in welcome or toast to them, is a MOST heartening site. I intuit her goodwill and offering of resources as her great boon to “us” today, and most especially the great outpouring of Energy that one can access though her. It’s quite a heady reading, all in all, and I feel blessed today, which I wasn’t expecting. Blush. I ask the Cosmos today to give us ALL a hidden pearl of great goodness today. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 09/08/2017. The deck today is *The Tarot of the Holy Light* by Christine Payne-Towler & Michael Dower. It is a Magnificent deck; it you are a serious student of the Sacred Tarot, there is no excuse for not having a copy of this deck, unless you are a troglodyte living in a cave near Marseille and you will ONLY use the deck that Nostradamus gave you when you went on pilgrimage to the cathedral of St. James of Compostela in the 16th century. Then, okay, you might not need it, BUT. . . I would still recommend it. (“So let it be written; so let it be done.”) (No, I have NO commercial connection with the cards or their creator. Grin.) Today’s draw is: Sulfur = XIV Temperance; Mercury = XII the Hanged Man, and Salt = the King of Cups. “Hmmm,” taptaptap of the fingertips . . . “harrumph.” My Animus in XIV Temperance is an oft-familiar sight, and there is no surprise there as in all things material this week I need to exercise moderation. My physical reality, in terms of my corpus, isn’t having a great week, and easy and NO PUSHING IT? MARK! Is the operative phrase of the day/week. Also, there is the counsel to dose my mental machinery dealing with manifestation with a pinch or three of the Moderation Salts as well. That is always the problem when I have to give way to consideration for my physical needs; my mental Whirligig goes into double-overdrive on ranging far & wide for ways to play with reality. It is OFTEN pointless, a lot like letting your testosterone rule your unconscious, resulting in fondling your testicles in public; it is unsightly. Therefore, “Moderation, Mr. Miller!”  What is more surprising is to see where my Anima has stationed herself today, which is in XII the Hanged Man. (Which leads me to an idle speculation – how many women were hanged in the Old West?? Hmm? Anyone know?) After her recent l-o-n-g retreat chez II the High Priestess, and then her quick moves around the MA to cards like XXI the World and XIV Temperance, NOW she wants to self-sacrifice? Why Now? What did she have to do at those way-stations in order to arrive here for this “duty?”
I’m surprised as well because my Anima takes her original patterning from my mother, of course, which I later overrode with my Animus for years, until I took the time to go back, repair damage and jettison hopelessly outdated or infected material. If she (my Anima) is off to play in the fields of XII today, then I shall leave her to it, as I am unsure what she thinks she needs to be giving up AT THIS POINT in the Journey – we are in EARLY days for this time around, and barely out of the starting block; I can understand the EVERPRESENT need to remind me to use Moderation & Temperance, we know too well that I need the constant reminder; However, Self-sacrifice is showing up VERY early for some reason for my Anima, and perhaps it has something to do with the fact that she is so unused to feeling REAL feminine emotions until recently enough. She lived her early years in the shadow of a wounded woman, then she was dominated for years by an almost caricatured tyrant of an Animus. It wasn’t pleasant for her for a long time, so Freedom and Liberty of Expression is still rather heady stuff; perhaps she is operating at this moment on a sense of guilt, that my current happiness must be paid for in some manner, I don’t know. I WILL investigate and do the repairs if needed, immediately of course. No need for any ‘Mommy Not-So-Dearest’ in my life, thank you.  Finally, I arrive on the bank of an inlet from some unknown mangrove swamp creeping along the sea’s edge, and lo & behold! It is the King of Cups doing a bit of skinny-dipping as he follows the floating magic Cup guiding him through the straights of the Sun & the Moon. Grin. This King ALWAYS leaves me a bit bemused. A. E. Thierens says this about him; “This king is the chief of the
kingdom of the soul, coming on the Ninth house, and consequently must indicate the teacher, prophet, man of law and divinity; the professor, inspirer and great traveler; sometimes a hunter, a wanderer, or a sailor, a yachtsman. Honesty and probity will be generally his characteristics, but some fantasy may be mixed with it and he may be less particular in details or accuracy. He may be exuberant or even excessive, and this may cause some excitement, but we see nothing of ‘scandal, vice,’ thievishness or anything of that kind in this card. There is a lively sentiment of justice in it and the person indicated by it will certainly be disposed to render justice to the Querent, whether he be connected with the law or not. If the Querent is himself a weak or vicious individual, the card may indicate the judge before whom he has to appear. At all events it may represent the idea of judgment of the querent’s actions or business. Further there is less of ‘science’ in this card than of philosophy, which is quite another department. There is the idea of promoting, inspiring, pushing. There lies promise for the future and likeliness of monetary advances in this Sagittarian card.” (“The General Book of the Tarot” by the aforementioned.)  I would like to like the King of Cups, but I need to KNOW the King first! He is a difficult man to read, and while I don’t feel he has any relevant avatar in my life, he IS an energy with which I can deal and understand. So . . . “on verra!” I ask the Cosmos today to give us ALL a lovely surprise in the emotional area of our lives. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 08/08/2017. (Surely a magical lemniscate date, especially as numerology accounts for the third eight.) Today’s deck is perhaps my favorite Tarot de Marseille deck, the *Tarot de Jacques Viéville; Maître Cartier à Paris de 1643 à 1664.* No other TdeM deck is quite like it, and I find it to be a constant & joyful surprise, as the illustrations carry worlds of “hidden commentary.”  (It is a bit like reading a scandal magazine” from the Middle Ages, although scandal is perhaps too strong a word. At any rate, it makes me smile.) The point being that you “believe” the illustrations to be true representatives of their roles, which is a magical thing for a serial work of small art like this to be able to do after 470 years! Moving on, the draw today is: Sulfur = XIII Death; Mercury = XXI the World, and Salt = the Queen of Swords (please note: the posted QofSw is a Nicholas Conver card, not J. Vieville, as no images were available of that card; Yes, my scanner is still on the fritz.
The MAIN difference I wish you to know between the illustrations is that in the Vieville deck, the Queen faces Right, NOT Left. Therefore, if you unconsciously place time parameters on her she is looking towards the future, not the past.) It’s a dramatic visual read, but “Oh! What does it mean, Madame Sosostris??” Grin. Something of great change is in the works, obviously. I know that anyway; I am trying to work through some last, as-tenacious-as-Sumatran-leeches issues I still have through the Cups suit, the final suit I wish to completely explore before I make another Grand Tour to summarize and verify. I feel not to very far from there now, and it feels like a vague, just-beginning excitement somewhere on a back burner.  So-o-o, today we start off with Big-time Change that is NOT unexpected nor necessarily of ill will. I have never had an “issue” (“Tissue, Mr. Fink?” LOL) with XIII, having never really truly feared it, the concept of Death. We all know what the card actually means, nevertheless there is a visceral reaction to the card upon sight, and it has nothing to do with a reasonable, “Why, oh, yes, that’s the Big Change I ordered from Amazon several weeks ago. Yes, yes, bring it on in, please.” No, it is an archetypal image of DEATH, and before reason takes over we see it as “Oh, fuck, yeah, there’s that.” µAnd even if it DID mean that and only that, I’d be reasonably okay; the only thing about dying I dislike is the pain; having had several serious incidents in the last 5 years, it isn’t dying that sucks, it’s getting to it! Grin.
The Big Change could be more progress in my current work OR it could be something completely new on the horizon, which to tell the truth, I rather more expect than the former. As for my homunculus on my Mercury/Anima draw, XXI the World, I believe that this is my Anima having sly fun with me, after her extended stay in the temple with II the High Priestess. She may be reading the cosmic frequencies much more adeptly than I at the moment. She’s feeling very upbeat about our voyage in Cups, and she is acting a LOT like the cat that ate the canary. So, I am piggybacking on her good vibe at the moment; it isn’t that I don’t feel it, too, it is just that I tend to more stoic & intellectual about it; “WHICH, may I remind myself! is EXACTLY why I’m taking this Journey this time. So, Lighten Up!”  Grin. And then, in a final bit of sleight of hand, I find that Her Maj, the Queen of Swords is supplying power to the show today. I know this Queen intimately, and we have a really complicated relationship; I know how to “handle her like a pro,” but truth be told, I’d rather not see her all. She brings up lots of shit for me, and it isn’t “my” shit, so it isn’t “workable;” it’s generational & familial. I have learned to minimize it to its smallest possible components, freeze them in carbonite, and send them to be kept in the cellars of Jabba Desilijic Tiure’s (AKA Jabba the Hutt,) old palace/stronghold on Tatooine. Grin. Actually, I am a lot more balanced and okay with these items that I am making out; but it IS boring to hear “Yea, it’s good.” all the time, LOL. And OF COURSE I have moments where I’m NOT so “balanced” as I may like to believe; however, I AM aware of them, consciously, and do address them immediately so that they don’t leave a secret depth charge of resentment or anger behind them. HOWEVER . . . She DOES carry a LOAD OF Energy, mostly intellectual but quite a bit of just sheer, driven Will as well. She is ALWAYS handy to have around in a battle, not only for her resources but for her mind; she is usually a master strategist; so that will be the bent of the Energy available to me today. It seems like it IS going to be an eventful day, but in subtle and not-so-evident ways, perhaps. I ask the Cosmos to give us ALL a spirit of Curiosity today. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 07/08/2017. Today’s deck is one I haven’t used in a long time, *The Bohemian Gothic Tarot* by Alex Ukolov & Karen Mahony, of Baba Studios renown. It is a gorgeous deck, every bit as lovely as the *Prague Tarot* which is their creation, as well. My draw today is: Sulfur = VIII Strength; Mercury = XIV Temperance and Salt = the Queen of Pentacles. I like it; there isn’t anything flashy, spectacular or otherworldly on display today.
Today looks like it is a “Take Care of Business” day in the Material, and that is okay with me. I won’t belabor this reading with a lot of esoteric input; today were eating meat & potatoes. (Unless you are Japanese, in which case you may eat tofu if you prefer; all other races will NOT be offered this option. Grin.) What is cool about today’s draw for me, personally, is that yesterday eve and this morning I have been contemplating how “good” life is, in the here and now, for my wife & myself. We are far from rich, but we eat well and have a decent roof; we don’t travel a great deal, although I used to be a travel junkie. We are both converts by marriage to the idea of “okay, now it’s time to settle down, put down some late-in-life roots, and cruise in low gear until and unless adventure raises its wavy-mocked head and whistles her siren song. We DO sometimes follow the tune, and it is always “fun,” but not excessively so; hey, we’re older now. Grin.
We are both a bit more than a tad eccentric, although I wear it much more brazenly than my partner in complicity. She is a marvel of French correctness when she wishes to be, and much to her joy I have brought “American casualness” into her life & thinking. So, all this being so, today’s cards look like nothing so much as Dutch uncle’s advice; “Mark, it’s a good day to focus a bit more on the material and your multiple manifestations therein; no need to be absent-minded and thus sloppy, eh? Marshal your Strength (no, not the esoteric kind, your Strength of Being,) and with MODERATION look around and see what needs tending in your material garden. Today is a good day for it. There is nothing pressing on either the emotional, intellectual or spiritual fronts, so use this time to just fine tune some cogs and gears that may have slipped or slowed. Don’t press, but DO Act.” As well, I know perfectly well that there are a double handful of “little things” to be done around here that require practically no effort at all, which is helpful (I have “Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),” which is irreversible and progressive. It’s a barrel of monkeys – wry grin.) So today it’s, “Look around, Madge. Don’t you see how window treatments could change this room from dull suburbia to hot bordello lounge?” LOLO; “Th-th-that’s all, folks!” as Porky would say. I ask the Cosmos to give us ALL a no-brainer today. Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 06Aug2017. Today’s deck is the *Rosetta Tarot* by M.M. Meleen, although I have been forced to substitute a Thoth Prince of Wands for the Rosetta image – believe it or not, there isn’t one available on the ‘Net and my scanner is on the fritz, so there you have it. The draw for today is: Sulfur = I the Magus; Mercury = XVIII the Moon (again!) and Salt = the Prince of Wands. As you may have noticed if you have the ineffable wisdom to be following me (Grin!) then you know that this is just one tiny baby step from yesterday; I’ve gone from the Fool to the Magus in Sulfur, stayed the same in Mercury (a difficult card to exit) and in Salt simply changed suit from the Prince of Cups to the Prince of Wands (”Okay, Milquetoast, you wouldn’t listen to the Water in the Cup, so let’s see how you like a flaming Staff across the back! Ha!”) LOL. (A drama queen is never far from a stage . . . .)  Actually, I DID listen to the water in the Cup, but that isn’t the point; the point here today is that my inner macho is feeling a bit defensive and he has summoned his avatar of I the Magus to put on a show of force. I can respect that. Just as long as he doesn’t mistake his testicles for his brain he’ll be fine and that is something to which I have accustomed him long ago. Very few things are as boring as a grown man repeating adolescent behavior – it is the same seeing a grown woman acting like a little girl with a speech impediment. “STOP IT! Grow Up!”
Grin . . . how many times have you wanted to say that to someone? However, the point here isn’t his attitude (“We need to have a talk about your attitude, young man!” LOL) but his ENERGY – which is bucketloads full of Fire and speed to deliver it. He’s a headstrong guy, our Prince. I haven’t manifested his energy for a long time, due to being an adult now – LOL – actually, due to age and the onset of “body breakdown;” it’s hard to claim to be dashing Flash Gordon when you feel much more like the aging Ming the Merciless. (As for Dale Arden, she’s gone back to bed after an early “pause café.”) I suppose, if I look at the cards as a tableau, then the one that MOST grabs my attention today is XVIII the Moon. My Anima has been “consulting” two days in a row now in the House of the Moon, and it is certainly an interesting place, . . . if you want that kind of thing; “The Moon isn't the most comfortable trump - though everybody likes to equate it with the mysteries, rarely someone really enjoys the look into their own abyss, where sometimes the unvarnished truth is not too pleasant. Embarrassingly enough, the Moon tends to show up what we generally ignore, refuse to see, or even deny all the time. But the step has to be taken, for without facing up to darkness, we will never see the light. Unlike most trumps, the Moon has no real negative aspect, but it implies a serious danger. The journey into night could be too much when we're not prepared and we might get lost in our own shadow.” (‘Raven’ @corax.com) Now, I happen to be a BIG fan of the Moon, for various reasons, not the least of which is that she is the “physical avatar” of the goddess Isis, and I am a “Kemetic.” (For various reasons, mostly gnostic, I use the Egyptian occult religious system and pantheon as my ‘avatars’ of ‘costuming’’ for the many facets of the one Divine. Why use a pale imitation for ritual purposes when the Real Thing is available and still in use?) I hope it isn’t really necessary to define the difference between “ritual use” and “personal beliefs,” but if so, all that one may say of me is, “He believes in a supreme being.” I’m not venturing into the bayous of definitions and meanings today; not here, not now. Back to the cards – I was just thinking this morning about a reading I
gave last night for a young man that was incredibly productive and fruitful, and as such readings can do, it left him “changed;” it was a visible phenomenon. I was terribly glad to have been of use and to have been able to read his own assurances to himself that he wasn’t delusional, reality really IS “like that.” He has been having, in effect, a very long ‘epiphany’; his “eyes” are opening and he is seeing embodiments of spiritual truths. All a GOOD thing, of course, but we would all admit that if you don’t know what’s going on, it can be deeply, DEEPLY, “unnerving.” I felt very happy indeed as he left, and so this morning concurrently felt somewhat “assuaged” by my “rôle” last night and the afterglow this morning. I love that feeling when you have given someone a profound, “important” reading in their eyes; it connects you intimately to the community of mankind and the Universe. So there I sit, rather pleased with myself this morning, but not too much I hope, and my partner-in-crime little Missy Anima is STILL soaking up secrets, signs & ‘spells’ to keep “us” armed and “in the know,” something she adores doing and which, I admit, I count almost unconsciously upon her to provide. So BOTH OF us, squirreling away happily in our self-satisfied roles today as a functioning Mark, are being advised that a “whirlwind” is on its way to “sweep through my life and send the debris flying!” Well, I must say, that has the promise of being exciting! I wryly smile to myself, because I’m saying to myself in my head, “I hope you’re up for it, Old Man! Hahaha!!” Grin . . . on verra. I ask the Cosmos today to give us ALL a “fresh wind in our sails!” Be Well, Be Zen, Be Blessed!!

Good Morning and Welcome! to The Fool’s Tarot for 05Aug2017. Today’s deck is the Golden Dawn Magical Tarot* by Chic & Sandra Cicero, two longtime GD initiates & published “experts.” (I put that in quotation marks not to mock them, but to highlight that they know their stuff.) The deck is mainly been issued to highlight the GD color scheme for the Tarot, which is here kept to its strictest interpretation. It’s a good deck and reads well; it just isn’t in my regular rotation. “The Golden Dawn Magical Tarot uses symbology and colours as adhered to by the Order of the Golden Dawn. The major arcana show abstract and very vibrant scenes, but the minors are overly repetitive. Little changes between the cards of a suit but the number of cups or pentacles.” (Aeclectic.org) “Onward & Upward! Today’s draw is: Sulfur = 0 the Fool; Mercury = III the Empress, and Salt = the Prince of Cups. Ha! I see that I am STILL screwing around in my birthday suit as the newborn 0 the Fool. I have been the Fool more than the normal number of times recently (yesterday!) and to have it repeated means that I am either A) going to continue in a vacuum-headed state of existence, simply afloat on the Great Sea of Chaos around us all, or B) that I am NOT remarking something obvious and necessary to start the Journey (through Cups) but that WILL be forefront soon. A or B, coupled with C, being C) at least as I begin this Journey through Cups (see previous posts) I KNOW I’m starting out as a ranked beginner (so to speak; I’m not entirely without experience & knowledge in the field . . . harrumph! Grin.) “At any rate, Madge, there I sat, mouth wide-open like a flytrap, and . . .” we next arrive at my Anima’s position for the day, as complimentary to Animus in 0 the Fool,
and she is III the Empress. Looking down at the spread it is VERY easy to perform the little mental magic to tie these two together as mother & child, but IT ISN’T TRUE; or at least not now, here, today, for me. My Anima and I are fine, comfortably seated together on the double throne of my being, but that does NOT mean that I see her in any way, shape or as maternal. I have too many recently buried ghosts I collected during the “period of grief” after my mother’s death. I put that in q-marks, as I did not grieve her passing; it brought to the light some of her more nefarious character traits, and while I loved my mother, I do not cherish certain aspects of her memory. She did the best she could, and I am at peace with that. So, if my Anima is in the Empress today it is in her own right, and “by the testicles of Odin! I say she has the right to do so!” Grin. My Anima has caught up FAST, and is just as savvy and on the ball as I could wish her to be. (Being No. 2 she tries harder – grin. “Joke, ladies and joims, joke!”) The GOOD thing today is that she is feeling settled and in her Kingdom: the beneficent Gaia holding court, and “She is the Symbol of Action, the result of the union of Science and Will.” (goldendawn.org) I can live with that in my Anima today; Osiris knows that we need someone to steer the boat today, and that gabbling, drooling infant doesn’t seem to be up to the job (grin.) By the way, just WHAT is he doing? Smoking that wolf in hookah-style? LOL! Contemplating yellow roses (which happen to be my favorite roses) as he smokes the wolf, he is seen as “The average stage of man in the present stage of Earth-evolution is ‘human,’ but not yet at the stage of wisdom, consequently that of the ‘unwise man.’ To us, creatures living upon the Earth, this globe cannot be observed by us in toto, and the Fool is represented as a man walking without paying attention to himself. There is something of absolute Fate about this figure, which reminds us of the old saying of astrologers: “The wise man rules his stars, the fool obeys them.” On the point of this fatality all authorities agree. For the rest the explanation does not seem very satisfying. To us there appears to be no doubt regarding the nature of this Fool, presented as a final ‘principle,’ if we may call it that, after those of the planets.” (supertarot.co.uk) So while they can give off, together, a great Mother/Child act, they are not at ALL mother and child, but rather future-husband and wife. Today I seem to be in a learning stance vis-à-vis my Anima, so I think I’ll just shut the piehole and listen up. We round the corner to come upon a very shady character indeed, the Prince of Cups. You would think this guy would be a knight-in-shining-armor kind of guy, wouldn’t you? Dudley Do-
Right of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, riding to rescue Pearl Pureheart, who has been tied to the train tracks by Snidely P. Whiplash. Grin.  BUT, NO-o-o-o-! Grin. He is actually rather a sly dodger, as described by the Golden Dawn. “He is subtle, violent, crafty and artistic. A fierce nature with calm exterior. Powerful for good or evil, but more attracted by the evil, if allied with apparent Power or Wisdom.” (Ibid) And one of the people I enjoy reading, even if he is dated and out-of-style, A. E. Thierens, has this to say; “The Water of the soul on the Twelfth and on the Eighth house. The double influence of water makes the emotions and feelings prominent, relates to the imagination, to deeper experiences and strong reactions of the soul, processes of psychic life, which may end in wonderful success or in less desirable phenomena. It is sure to indicate much relating to the subways of human life and the human soul. This is not always favourable or pleasant, of course, but is in almost every instance intensive, though the cups never go to anything like hatred or crime or real malice. Their weakness is in being unreliable or incalculable with regard to things of the exact world or matter. So in the worst cases this card may indicate everything connected with swindling from sheer mental instability. But it may also be, that the term ‘swindler’ (charlatan) is wrongly given to people who are standing apart from the common herd and are more or less occultists. The “higher graces of the imagination.” There may be certainly a considerable degree of falsehood expressed by this card: false interpretation, misjudgment, tendentious or fantastic narratives, exaggerated complaints, imaginary wrongs, pathos and what the world calls miscarriage. On account of the eighth house all this may be connected with sex-questions or intimate and private affairs. The card may express indiscretion committed and slanderous reports, secretly promulgated. It has to do with secrets and the divulgation of secrets. But there may be also a higher sway in the emotional realm: devotion, sacrifice, charity.” Rather an indictment, eh? I shall have to keep an eye on him, today, to make sure he isn’t trying to get away with something!! I know me! LOL. I ask the Cosmos to give us all a clear view of ourselves today. Be Well; Be Zen; Be Blessed!!

Good Afternoon and Welcome! to a special entry to The Fool’s Tarot this 04Aug2017. I have been curious lately, as I evolve on the emotional/intuitional side of things (Cups,) I decided to check the cards for an answer to an ongoing process this is progressing, but it ALWAYS leaves me with doubts. The question is, “What do I need to do, or what is the best path to follow, to realize the transformation of my need for love, especially male love? It really isn’t a question of the material/physical anymore, and hasn’t been for a while. It is HOW do I give and receive love between men so that I am SATISFIED with the exchange as it is, not as I (think I) wish it to be? You see? I’m not even sure of my need for it or not. I am “quite adequately loved” in my marriage, and my “need” for homocentric affection & love is 1) a product of a past long ago resolved, to an extent; 2) habit – I slept with a LOT of men for at least 4+ decades, so I know my way around pleasing others as well as myself (and yes, it has helped immensely with women, as well.) So-o-o, the “question” was, more or less, “What can be done to further meet my affective and emotional needs in my perception of love & being loved?” I decided to use the “Tree of Life spread,” an 11-card spread laid down in one continuous flow and involving the entire deck. The cards are laid down as follows:
1) Kether: The Source / That which impels the matter.                                 2) Chokmah: Vital Force, Purpose / That which propels the matter.             3) Binah: Framework / That which defines the matter.                                 4) Chesed: Encouragement, Support / Assisting Energy.                             5) Geburah: Challenges, Adjustments / Defensive energy.                           6) Tiphareth: Goal, Aspiration / Best possible outcome.                               7) Netzach: Emotion, Inspiration / Imaginative outlook.                               8) Hod: Reason, Analysis / Logical outlook.                                                 9) Yesod: Potential, Nonphysical Patterns in Place / Past.                         10) Malkuth: Outer Manifestation / Present.                                                    11) Daath: Hidden Factors. / Future.
This is, of course, based on the positions on the Tree of Life of the 10 Sephiroth plus Daath, the “hidden” 11th Sephiroth in the center of the first 6, and Daath is also a gateway to the nightside of the Tree of Life, The Tunnels of Set.

On any specific consultation, one can choose to read only one pillar of the Tree as it pertains to the Querent’s question; one may
decide on a certain sequence of cards to turn in order to reveal a certain thread the Querent wishes to follow. There are MANT ways to use this spread. I have decided to
look at all of them, the top for motivation and the bottom for manifestation. What I see here is a rosy, HIGHLY rosy prediction of finding an equal and living out the masculine love with him through our friendship. Good enough. Hope he shows up soon!! Grin. Take a look at the cards and you decide what YOU would draw from the setup. Or what, perhaps, you may see in one pillar and not another. (Pillar of Form – Left; Pillar of Harmony – Center; Pillar of Force – Right.)                                                                   Be Well; Be Zen; Be Blessed!!
